Daniel was last seen the morning of June 16, 2011, before a fire destroyed his home. Although his vehicles and motorcycles were found at the scene, Daniel has never been located. His phone later pinged in Virginia, but no further leads have surfaced.
His family continues their 13-year search, with organized efforts including cadaver dogs, underwater searches of wells, and extensive ground searches. Despite these efforts, Daniel remains missing. His sister Sheila, a nationally known author, continues to advocate for justice, frustrated by the lack of involvement from federal authorities.
The Moses family and the State of North Carolina are jointly offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to Daniel’s whereabouts.
